 Hello all!

So, I only have 2 ½ weeks until I leave for the World Race! On October 9th I will leave for training camp in Gainesville, GA. My team – “G squad” will be there for training camp and launch. After this, we will leave for our first location.

First, we will head to Chicago!!!! Here we will be working with Park Community Church. This church works directly with people in the 10/40 window and does inner city ministry. After Chicago, we’ll travel to Wisconsin Dells and work with Bridgepoint Church and Bella Goose Coffee!!! Here we will work with international students and work in projects in the community.

Right now, I’m at about 53% of my total goal! THANK YOU for helping me get over half way there! I still have around $8,200 to raise. If you would like to give, I still have boxes available on my adopt-a-box fundraiser (link below)!

  1. Katy that is fantastic. Keep me posted on everything. I’m so excited; you were born to do this! Way to go!

  2. Well, Katy has begun her long awaited dream with Adventures in Missions. She has been diligently working towards this goal, preparing along the way. We’ve known for a long time that this was her natural bend in life. When her youth group made plans years ago to go to Honduras, to work in an orphanage, she made herself ready. Unforeseen circumstances thwarted the group’s plans to go, but not Katy! Undaunted, Katy contacted the group in Honduras on her own and independently ventured there by going alone on a plane flight. She has made five trips there since, establishing great, life-long connections with the Hondurans and the mission group. As she was planning her next moves, with possibly China in her sights, Covid-19 fell upon us and changed that direction. She moved up future plans with Adventures in Missions and elected to pursue that this year. For Katy, this is a dream come true: extending God’s love to others who are in need spiritually and physically. It’s amazing to observe; she’s so neat and organized and clean, but the areas of the world she will visit reflect quite a different perspective. She loves the broken, hurting, poor, and disenfranchised people, especially the most vulnerable: the children. She absolutely loves them. So, though the group’s original destinations changed somewhat due to Covid, she will be in her element, venturing to Honduras and South America and Thailand.
We delivered her last night to Adventures in Missions. Dozens of twenty somethings greeted us there, preparing to do the same as Katy. Though I’m sad, I’m so elated that she is finding her way with what she loves. Knowing that she loves the Lord and that she has a big heart for broken people makes me so happy. I could not have asked for anything more than that.
KK I love you mucho- keep us posted!
